The calculation

Base salary in USD divided by season points. Lower cost per point ranks higher; points per $1m gives the same order.

All season participants are included, regardless of their current seat or team changes. Points include Sprints and official corrections. The full annual salary is used without adjustment for races entered.

Salary basis

Use the current season’s base salary. An explicitly reviewed previous-year fallback is identified in the driver’s expanded details and comparison.

Reading the figures

Base salaries are reported figures unless officially disclosed. Bonuses and personal endorsements are excluded.

Calculations use unrounded values and genuine ties share a rank. Where a reported range has an upper-bound selection, its highest amount is used for salary, ranking and comparison. Drivers with no points or unavailable salaries remain visible without an invented cost.
