Privacy Policy

How ENTRANCE handles information across its website, mobile app and email contact route.

Last updated: 14 July 2026

Pre-launch status: this policy reflects the current ENTRANCE website and mobile app implementation. The legal operator, business address, production hosting providers and any jurisdiction-specific disclosures must be confirmed before public launch.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the ENTRANCE website, ENTRANCE mobile app, public data delivery and messages sent to the official contact address. It explains information handled directly by ENTRANCE and information that may be processed by device, hosting, app-store or communications providers.

2. Who is responsible

ENTRANCE is the name of the service. The responsible individual or legal entity will be identified here before public launch. Until that information is confirmed, privacy questions and requests can be sent to the official privacy contact at hello@entrancesports.com.

3. Current privacy summary

The current Service has no user accounts, contact form, paid subscriptions, in-app purchases, advertising, behavioural analytics or ENTRANCE-operated push-notification server. It does not request precise location, contacts, camera or microphone access. App preferences and caches are stored locally on the device. Email communications and ordinary technical request logs are the main ways information may leave a user's device.

4. Information a user provides

Messages sent to hello@entrancesports.com may include the sender's email address, name, organisation, attachments and any other information included in the message. Users should avoid sending information that is not necessary for the enquiry.

5. Website technical information

The current static website does not include an ENTRANCE contact form or analytics script. A website or data-hosting provider may nevertheless create standard technical logs containing an IP address, browser or device type, requested URL or file, referring page, response status and access time. ENTRANCE will update this policy with production-provider details when hosting is confirmed.

6. Website session storage

The website uses browser session storage under the key hxIntroSeen to remember that the home-page introduction has been shown in the current browser session. The stored value is a simple status flag, is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking and is normally removed when the browser session ends. More information appears in the Cookie Policy.

7. Information stored locally by the app

The mobile app stores the following types of information on the user's device:

  • favourite driver and team identifiers;
  • appearance and theme preferences;
  • race and session reminder settings;
  • scheduled-notification information managed by the device operating system; and
  • cached schedules, standings, results and statistics, including cache timestamps.

This information is used to provide the selected app features. It is not currently uploaded to an ENTRANCE account, advertising platform or analytics service. It can normally be removed through the relevant app controls, by clearing the app's storage or by uninstalling the app.

8. Notifications

If a user enables reminders, the app requests notification permission and schedules selected race or session reminders through the device operating system. The current app does not register an Expo push token or send reminder preferences to an ENTRANCE push-notification server. A user can disable reminders in the app and can change notification permission in the device settings.

9. Public data requests

The website and app request public motorsport JSON files. The current app configuration points to an ENTRANCE data address hosted through GitHub Pages. A request may reveal ordinary technical information, including an IP address, requested file, device or browser information and request time, to the network and hosting providers involved. ENTRANCE does not add a user account identifier to these requests.

10. Purposes of handling information

Information is handled only as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide website pages, public data and mobile app functions;
  • remember local preferences and provide requested reminders;
  • respond to enquiries, corrections, privacy requests and rights-holder notices;
  • maintain security, diagnose failures and prevent misuse;
  • comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights; and
  • improve editorial accuracy and service reliability.

11. Legal grounds where required

Where applicable law requires a legal ground, information may be handled to provide a feature requested by the user, respond to a user-initiated communication, comply with a legal obligation, or pursue legitimate interests such as service security, correction handling and protection of legal rights, provided those interests are not overridden by the person's rights. Consent will be requested where the applicable law requires it and may be withdrawn for future handling.

12. Sharing and service providers

ENTRANCE does not currently sell, rent or use personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Information may be processed by providers that support email, website or data hosting, app distribution, device notifications, security or infrastructure. Those providers may process information under their own terms or on behalf of the operator. A final provider list and any legally required processor or entrusted-processing details will be added when production services are selected.

13. International processing

Hosting, email, app-store and infrastructure providers may process technical or communications information in countries other than the user's country. The locations, legal grounds and safeguards for any legally regulated international transfer will be documented when the operator and production providers are confirmed.

14. Retention and deletion

  • App preferences and caches: kept on the device until replaced, cleared or removed with the app.
  • Website session flag: normally kept only for the current browser session.
  • Email communications: kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain an appropriate record of a correction or rights-holder matter, meet a legal obligation or protect legal rights, then deleted or access-restricted as appropriate.
  • Technical logs: retained according to the security and operational schedules of the relevant production provider, which will be documented when confirmed.

15. Security

ENTRANCE aims to apply reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information handled, including limiting collection, restricting access and keeping software and service configuration under review. No internet transmission, device storage, hosting platform or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

16. Privacy choices and rights

Users can disable app reminders, change notification permission, clear browser storage, clear app storage or uninstall the app. Subject to applicable law, a person may also request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or objection to ENTRANCE-held personal information, and may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Because the current Service has no user accounts, requests may require reasonable information to identify the relevant email communication or issue.

Requests can be sent to hello@entrancesports.com. ENTRANCE will respond within the period required by applicable law after the operator and the requester's identity are appropriately confirmed.

17. Children

ENTRANCE is not directed specifically at children and does not knowingly operate an account system that collects children's information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information to ENTRANCE may request review or deletion through the official privacy contact.

18. Automated decisions and profiling

ENTRANCE does not currently use personal information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, or for behavioural advertising profiles. Motorsport statistics concern public sporting performance and are not used by ENTRANCE to profile app users.

19. Third-party services

App stores, device operating systems, linked websites and hosting platforms may collect information independently under their own privacy policies. ENTRANCE does not control information a user provides directly to those third parties.

20. Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated when the operator, hosting providers, app features, SDKs or legal requirements change. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes will receive additional notice where reasonably practical or legally required.

21. Contact

Privacy questions, rights requests and complaints can be sent to hello@entrancesports.com. A postal address and legally required privacy officer or representative details will be added before launch if applicable.
